I’ve been a professional therapist for over 10 years, but I’ve been an observer of life and its people for far longer.  I sought education as a relationally-oriented therapist because its way of thinking seemed true to sense: that our experiences and “problems” should be considered not as singular or siloed things, but as occurring within contexts of body, mind, and relationship.  In my life and work, my orientation is not towards “solving,” but of expanding potential for action, awareness, and evolution.

I earned my Masters in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University's unique collaborative program with Council For Relationships, one of the oldest relationships-oriented therapy organizations in the country.  Before beginning in private practice I worked as a PK-8 school counselor while holding a clinical and leadership position at Courdea, a Philadelphia-based intervention program for people who have acted harmfully in relationships.  I’ve scooped ice cream, changed motor oil, built theater sets, and by now I’ve heard more life stories than I could possibly count.

I believe people are capable of great change because I have seen it, and lived it.  I’m a reader, a trail runner, a father and a curious person.  I’m a feelings person and a thinking person; I’m an artist and I’m science-minded.  My life is fullest when I have contact with the mind, the body, the spirit and the wider world all in turn.
